Plasma Drive Violin (Decent Sampler VST)
The plasma Drive is one of my favorite pieces of gear I have so far. It adds so much color and texture to anything I put it too and it is always full of unexpected surprises. I also love the concept of turning audio into hot plasma and back to audio. Letting the physical world shape the sounds I make and record even further. This adds a bit of organic feeling to such an inorganic process.
The sound of the violin through this effect is sporadic, Sometimes the volume is so inconsistent that the plasma drive flickers. This gives the recording a rhythmic element to it. When the input volume is tuned just right, this becomes a nice subtle texture on some of the notes. This distortion also introduces a lot of gain and this creates some fuzz on the sound as well. The violin, while still recognizable, becomes super electric. It is a sound that I feel Nikola Tesla would love. It’s as if the violin has merged with a Tesla Coil to make a shocking string sound.
As always, I hope you all enjoy and if you make anything interesting with this or just want to message me about this vst, feel free to reach out.
