TD-3 (Free Decent Sampler VST)
Not long ago I made a video showing off my sticker collection that I put all over a case that carries my guitar pedals. I was honestly more excited about the stickers than making a virtual instrument. But I still made an instrument to sort of justify showing off my collection by using those pedals with my TD-3. Today I thought I should just focus on the TD-3 itself and make an instrument based off of that.
The TD-3 from Berhinger is a clone of Roland’s TB- 303 synth which was produced from 1981-1984. Originally the synth was made to be a substitute for a bass guitar, however it’s super aggressive and unrealistic sonic characteristics made it unusable for the target audience and quickly was forgotten about. The story goes that these instruments were rediscovered at garage sales in the UK and US during the late 80s and early 90s by up-and-coming electronic musicians who loved it’s crazy resonance and distortion when paired with fast and upbeat house drum loops. This resulted in the creation of the Acid genres of electronic music.
As always, I hope you all enjoy and if you make anything interesting with this or just want to message me about this vst, feel free to reach out.
